How to start a panic: On a crowded 3-hour flight to vegas, filled with tween soccer players, offer someone around you a first class seat. People perk up pretty quickly and start offering you items like candy, magazines, arranged marriages, etc...
I fly enough that I'm starting to get bumped to first class but traveling with Amy on the day before Valentine's day I figured I better give up my first class seat and sit next to her.
So, what is Amy doing in this photo? Making friendship bracelets. Yes, you read correctly. She is hosting a May workshop for photgraphers and in a flippant statement jokingly said she would offer friendship bracelets and macaroni cards to all the attendees. Ha ha, right?
Well, when the attendees started telling her how much they looked forward to getting their bracelets, Amy started feeling a little guilty. So here she is on the plane weaving 20 friendship bracelets.
In fact we were sitting at the gate before boarding when a woman came up to her and said, "Are you Amy Wenzel!? I follow your blog!" She said she recognized Amy and then noticed me from photos on Amy's blog, but then said... "well, and there are your bracelets, so I figured it must be you..." cut to: Amy sitting there struggling to get the length right on test bracelet #3.
So, as a loving husband (not at all interested in earning brownie points the day before V-Day), I have given up my first-class seat to sit next to my lovely wife, who as of yet, has not said two words to me.
She seems very busy getting the colors just right...
